Back to school is here! After the long weekend, my preschooler and kindergartener are back in routine and we are all back on-the-go! I have been finishing up the kid’s back to school shopping, and in this post I am sharing our top picks this year. For Isaiah, I tend to lean toward joggers, hoodies and athleisure. It’s comfortable, durable and affordable which is priority for a preschooler who loves to get jiggy with the finger pain. This year, Maya is the creative director of her closet and mommy acts as assistant stylist when she’s taking too long and the uber is ready to depart. She is all about emoji, LOL, flippy sequins, JoJo bows and anything teal, so I’m letting her live her best and brightest life this year with her fashion choices.

Here are our favorite back to school picks this year…..

I found most of Isaiah’s clothes at Macy’s. I love their little boy department for Epic Threads, like this tiger sweat shirt and camo jogger, and for affordable and trendy athletic apparel like the nike joggers and the matching Tommy Hilfger set. Even better, they are running their labor day sale and almost all of these items are included! Happy Shopping at Macy’s boys department!

Boys Shoes

I call my son Hammer toe, because he literally hammers his shoes into the ground and quickly. Along with their massive popularity, I have found Van’s to be super durable and trendy when they are styled with literally anything. These Hulk van’s are a top choice as well as the trendy Checkerboard pair spotted on all generations. Nordstrom is also a favorite for cute kicks for the kiddos. I LOVE the old school Nike Cortez, (I want a pair) and the camel velcro TOMS.

Like I mentioned before, Maya is all about picking out her own clothes and putting outfits together. She actually inspires me to step out of my comfort zone and throw a little color and sparkle on. Target was a hot spot for us, because we found her the LOL bomber  she is obsessed with at the moment and GAP was a hit will all the flippy sequin tops. Like the boys department, Macy’s little girls selection also has super cute athletic gear and character pieces. Another hit was H&M for leggings and basic t-shirts that pair and layer well with anything and come at  great prices.

Girls Shoes

Shout out to the designers at Vans for killing it this season. They must have kids. Maya loves her rainbow slip ons and I feel like the basic  SK8 black and magenta pair could survive puddle jumping and rainy day recess. Famous Footwear was also a jack pot for sports shoes and apparently the coolest shoes on the universe, Sketchers and Twinkle Toes.

I hope this post was helpful and encourages you to take advantage of the awesome sales going on this coming weekend. I am offically in baby count down mode and getting all primal and nesting.
